People with ADHD are highly intelligent and imaginative, deeply empathic, passionate, creative and quite gifted. Sometimes those gifts are unrecognized, misconstrued, or even punished. Symptoms of ADHD are often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed with other conditions like anxiety or OCD. While various conditions certainly do co-occur, people can spend years self-blaming and criticizing their symptoms as character flaws or personality traits. ADHD is neurobiological. ADHD is genetic, based within the central nervous system, and absolutely not a shortcoming. Our therapists are here to help you manage and overcome ADHD challenges while gaining more confidence, self-acceptance, and fulfillment.
